Bought on Poshmark. Being sold AS IS. Good Condition came from a closed bridal boutique still has tags. Spagetti straps, Trumpet Mermaid Style. I am 5'0 tall and short waisted. Took it to Alterations Shop, and was told the dress would not work for me. This dress has a very long torso, it would look amazing on a tall person. It's absolutely beautiful! It has a few dirt marks from being handled at bridal shop, so I would recommend dry cleaning. The measurements from the bridal shop are bust: 43.5, Waist: 36, Hips:46 It's Ivory, and material is satin-like. No stretch to fabric.

riddickulous Did they say “why” it wouldn’t work? Im curious as I’m 5’4” Which is a tad taller but not considered “tall” by any means.

pecchi08 @riddickulous She said torso on dress was very long, I'm short waisted. I was sitting on zipper in back, should be only to lower back. She would have to take the dress apart to alter it to work for me. Super Expensive 😃

riddickulous @pecchi08 it’s beautiful but I’m kind of scared of the same thing 😕. The “AS IS” part, what is that referencing? I see description is “good condition”, I just want to make sure I know exacts 😉.

pecchi08 @riddickulous AS-IS: I bought it off of poshmark. It has some dirt marks, a loose thread here and there, and I felt like it needed to be dry cleaned b4 use. I am not super picky, so I intended to get those things done if I wore it. I am not sure you would be happy as is. A wedding dress requires a lot more maintenance than I understood when I purchased it.

pecchi08 @riddickulous Also on my new dress I bought at a bridal shop in person, it fits me and I still have to pay the same amount in alterations as I did for the dress!! Cost $1080 - Alterations $ 1020!!! Yikes. So be wary of those alt costs too!!! I am passing along info I wish I someone warned me about. 😀

riddickulous @pecchi08 holy mackerel 😳, thank you. I will def take that into consideration. I have a friend that does simple alterations. Cleaning is no biggie and loose threads are ok. But serious (albeit expensive) alterations are a game changer as we’re going very low budget with a small intimate ceremony/reception.

pecchi08 @riddickulous Yes... we are having small too 35 people. No groom or bridal party, etc. I am blown away about the alterations cost...and I shopped around...so it's a huge deal..who knew!!!! lol Imagine buying a dress for $250, and they tell ya alterations are gonna be like $1500.
