KJL Elephant Royal Howdah Rider Vintage Figure Pin Brooch Kenneth Jay Lane

Kenneth Jay Lane - a later KJL piece representing KJL's friend - the Maharajah of Jaipur's elephant, in excellent and unworn condition. Inspired by the Jaipur Maharajah's ceremonial elephant (the Maharani was a friend of Kenneth) is this fabulous vintage brooch. A substantial KJL elephant measuring 2 1/4 inches tall by 2 inches wide. The elephant is a weighty piece, heavily and brightly accented with bright enamel, gold plate and pave icy clear Swarovski rhinestones. Imported. The pin back is straight and strong, the clasp locks securely. Marked ©K.J.L on the underside. In mint condition.
