Can the band be removed? The actual hat looks really different than the first and last pics of the product, so I'm kind of confused! Also, when you said 'small head problems' does it fit small heads really well, make them look bigger, or something else? Finally, do you know the material of the hat, or if it is suitable for spring/warm days? Thanks!

@scubacat29 Yes the band is removable. The material is shown on the inside tag in one of the photos, it says its cotton rib, so its kind of like tshirt or sweater material maybe.
I don’t know if it will make a head look bigger I just mean the circumference of the hat fits a smaller head, most hats are too big for me.
