dsain18 Hi i wanted to get more info on the flaw- is the buckle actually getting detached from the purse or just fraying?

marywall11 @dsain18 If the fraying isn’t fixed I think it will eventually detach

dsain18 @marywall11 I see so how do u think it can be fixed? Sorry for too many questions, I just don’t want to buy and find that it can’t be fixed. Thanks :)

marywall11 @dsain18 no problem! I think sewing it may be the best bet. Let me research and see if there’s a better way / if Kate spade fixes them free

marywall11 @dsain18 So if you don’t care about it looking perfect, I’d say sewing it with black thread is the simplest answer. If you want it to look perfect, mailing it in to Rago Brothers (The repair service that Kate Spade recommends) may be the best option. Hope that helps

marywall11 @dsain18 Kate Spade does not fix for free unfortunately

dsain18 @marywall11 hmm sewing might be harder since it’s a thicker material but I wonder if the alteration shops would do that sort of a thing, I am def interested in your bag as this is the style I am looking for... but need to see how much more I will end up spending on repairs

dsain18 @marywall11 yes I will find out today and let you know.. can you also post the dimensions of the bag? Thanks! :)
Nov 09Reply
dsain18
dsain18 And also how long is the strap and is it adjustable?
Nov 09Reply
marywall11
marywall11 @dsain18 Just posted the dimensions of the bag and posted a photo of the buckle on the strap that can be used to adjust the length of the strap.

marywall11 @dsain18 Just inspected the bag again - I added a different picture of the flaw to give you a different angle. Now that I’m looking at it, you’d definitely want to get the strap fixed before wearing it because it does look like it is going to detach
