Rare Very early work hand signed by world-renowned Native American Pueblo artist Keith Chino. His award-winning designs are known for their experimentation with media. Acoma pottery is known for its fluted rims, thin walls, and geometric design. Potters collect clay from limited sources, form the vessel for specific use, and decorate by hand. Traditional colors for Acoma pottery are orange and black,as high lighted in this early musume quality piece. Born in 1960, Keith Chino is a member of both the Eagle and Sun Clans of Acoma Pueblo and has been a potter for over 30 years. He studied at Haskell Indian College and his work can be found at the Heard Museum, Phoenix, Arizona.
