Bio: Ken Edwards Stoneware, Tonala Pottery - Ken Edwards was born in the USA and studied art in Kansas City, Missouri and then Japan, which accounts for the Asian influence in most of his work. In the 1960s he moved to the village of Tonala, Jalisco, Mexico and founded Ken Edwards Stoneware. His studio artisans create and glaze his beautiful designs by hand, working by an open window in natural light. No two pieces are ever exactly the same. A chronology of his works, showing the progress of his designs from the 1960s to the present time, appears in two of the main ceramics museums in Tonala, Mexico. From the Ken Edwards website: "This lead free, high temperature stoneware is microwave safe, freezer safe, oven safe, dishwasher safe, and a pleasure to use at the dining table. Each piece is hand glazed by an apprentice of Mr. Edwards...." Source: Online research.
