The first unique thing about this piece are the glass pearls. Instead of traditional pearls, mabé pearls are used. If you are not familiar with mabé pearls, they are semi-circle shaped pearls that lay flat on the back and round on the front. In addition to the pearls are clear diamond round cut SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS that are scattered in between the pearl petals of the flower. The stones are set into matte satin finished gold tone with a hammered texture on the flowers and a smooth texture on the wrap. On one side of the collar is a 1" by 1" flower and the other a 2" by 2" flower. So different! Finally, one of my least favorite things about classic pearl strands (other than making me bored), are their tendency to have lobster claw clasps. Who has time to fumble around with that? This necklace is AMAZING because it has a spring hinge on the back allowing you to simply pull the flowers apart to put on and take off. This piece is in excellent vintage condition with the exception of a tiny nick on one of the pearls on the left flower and tiny scratch on the inside portion of the collar
