Kestin favors interesting materials, and this rough loomed Japanese combat wool is a very interesting material. Part wool, part Cordura, it gives you all the benefits of wool while wearing hard. It has lovely texture with lo chatter throughout its marled salt and pepper coloring. The unlined stac jacket is a kestin original, featuring slant entry patch pockets, pleasant to touch big buttons, and a high three button buttoning point that, to me, conjures up romantic images of early tour de France riders in their technical Sunday best, suffering because they're wearing wool suits but at least they look good. Unfortunately, the cut is just a bit off on me. Big shame. Definitely a fall-winter item, layers wonderfully over your favorite sweater and will outlive you. My loss, your gain, etc.
