Kidnapped 1948 edition

Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson is a classic adventure story brought to life in the 1948 edition with illustrations by Lynd Ward as part of the Illustrated Junior Library. Published in New York by Grosset and Dunlap. I was attracted to this copy because Lynd Ward is responsible for the creation of illustrated wordless books in the early 1900's. His work paved the way for what we know as the graphic novel. Excellent condition. Small staining on bottom that does NOT show through to the pages.
