Kokin New York wide brim black satin hat from Neiman Marcus

This is a showstopping and elegant hat! It is perfect for the Kentucky Derby or any other hat-centric event (luncheons, etc.). Because the detailing is so subtle, it complements both busier and not-so-busy suits/dresses. The base of the hat is made with a breatheable mesh fabric with concentric layers of satin trim sewn to it (amazing craftsmanship, as you can see from the pictures of the stitching). It features a large bow made of the satin trim strips, as shown. The brim of the hat is 6.5” wide, and it is shapeable, so you can adjust it to suit your face/preference! The crown of the hat is 3.5-4” high, and the dimensions of the inside of the crown are 7.25” from front to back and 6.75-7” from side to side. I have a smaller head, 21.25” in circumference, and although it was a little large for me without a hat spacer in, it is substantial enough, construction-wise, that it stayed in place for me unless I really shook my head around. With a hat spacer, it fit comfortably without being tight/snug. This does NOT provide SPF, of course, but you will really appreciate that the air moves through this hat, keeping you cool. To note-there is slight makeup residue on the inside of the front of the hat band (you can see it in the picture), which I attempted to clean with mild detergent, not completely successfully. No water stains or discoloration resulted from the cleaning attempt, though :)
