cody7150 @terri6922 hi welcome to Posh @anna_redbridge invited me to pop over to your closet and send some posh 💗 your way. Your closet is off to a great start. When I first started out I was completely overwhelmed--I remember reading everything I could from posh about how to succeed and also reading the tips that many of the gals have graciously listed. As you know posh is a venue for you to be able to sell women's fashionable clothing and accessories---but it's also a wonderful community of women empowering and helping each other succeed. The biggest way we empower each other is to share items from each other's closets to our followers. Being new, I know you are also thinking 'hey, but I want to gain followers, too' And by sharing you will. When poshers see that you are sharing, they return share and will also follow you.

cody7150 @terri6922 when I first started out I made a couple basic goals--the first was I wanted at least 25 items listed -by listing anywhere from two to three items per day, that happened pretty quickly. My second goal was to gain 1k in followers. Every morning I spent 30 minutes sharing other people's items. I would start with my newsfeed--returning shares for all the shares, likes and follows. Then I would go into the previous night's party and share the host pick items. In less than a full week, I had that 1k in followers. Be sure you are also sharing your own closet --it is suggested to do it 3x per day but I know I don't do it that often- LOL. Be sure to mix up the first 8 - 10 items that are first in your closet (daily at least) you want buyers to look further into your closet. Hang in there, I think my first sale didn't happen until I had about 1500 or so followers.

cody7150 @terri6922 I would advise not to give your email addy out or list it anywhere---scammers are always on the prowl for those--best to be safe. Some gals put 'follows posh rules' instead of their city & state-- this is helpful to upcoming party hosts looking for potential host picks. I've bombarded you with a lot of info--oops--will try to give you a chance to digest it all and ask questions😉

tamarismom Welcome Terri. I know you've come to this wonderful community because you want to be successful in selling your items. To be successful these are my tips to you: Follow all Poshmark rules. Place your items in all theme related parties. Attend parties. Follow everyone who follows you and some of their followers. Search for items of same brand you're selling and follow those sellers and buyers. Listen to the other ladies who will give you advice in near future 😉

cody7150 @terri6922 tips on how to share your closet --try to do it at least every am. If you are doing posh on an iPad the screen is a little bigger & shows more .. When you are in the posh app there are several icon choices at the bottom of your screen. Notice that the far right one is your username. Click on it --you will be given an array of choices. For now click on 'My Closet'. It should bring up the covershot listings of your items. Notice in the lower right hand corner of each item is an icon with a set of semi joined arrows--that is the share button. If you click on it, it will give you an array of choices -near the very top is a button where you can share to your followers. Click on it. Voila! You've just re-shared your item to everyone following you. The reason why you want to do it at least once a day is to insure that your items are getting seen by potential buyers😉. During parties there will be the added choice of the party to share. During the daytime, the parties are either brand specific or category specific--so you may get a reminder that your item doesn't meet the party theme/criteria...no worries, you can always share to your followers.

cody7150 Oops I hit send when I meant to edit --but you get the gist...if you are on social media, you can share your items thru that venue. Pretty Kewl. The difference between viewing things on you phone, iPad, and computer is size of the screen and also how much is seen at one time. On the iPad and computer, you will see anywhere from 4 to about 8 items in a closet on the screen --while your phone requires scrolling to see the next item. Also, you can edit your closet from your phone and your iPad but not from the computer. The same is true for adding an item to your closet. Hope that makes sense.

cody7150 @terri6922 It is also suggested to occasionally share your item via the 'edit' feature. This will 'update' the date for when the item was last updated to the current date. The edit feature is also handy to use to correct spelling, add more description, add additional photos. You can also mark the item not for sale and delete the listing --but ONLY if it hasn't yet sold. Once an item has sold. You can add comments to the listing😉. Some say that during peak times, sharing via the edit feature is faster.

cody7150 @terri6922 one other difference-- on your phone, to share an item from your closet, you have to actually click on it. Then it will bring up that item. You will see three icon buttons. -- you can like the item, comment in the listing, or share the item.
