Measures approx. 10.75 inches in diameter Ivory colored porcelain Beaded scalloped edge, inner gold laurel band Crafted in USA Hand Wash This discontinued mid-century pattern was manufactured between the years of 1950 and 1972. Castleton Cina was manufactured in New Castle, PA by the Shenango company. Dwight and Mamie Eisenhower commissioned a set of service plates to augment existing White House china and LBJ and Lady Bird had Castleton manufacture a full set of White House china from a Tiffany's design.Castleton China was a popular choice for brides in the 50's and 60's. The classic designs and quality production are testimony to this American company that is no more.
