thefunkyroyals @aries_april Hello! Gold filled means there’s more actual gold over sterling silver & not a cheap base metal. Gold Plated is a thin layer of gold over a base metal, then Gold Filled which is far better. W/proper care G.F. items can last a lifetime. I’ve got many G.F. pieces I’ve had for 20+ yrs w/no fading or discolorations. You just have to be careful of not going in pools, hot tubs, taking things off before you go to bed, as it can degrade real gold because it’s a very soft metal.
