VINTAGE? THIS STUNNING 2-PIECE SUIT, JACKET AND MATCHING SKIRT, BY LESLIE LUCKS, SIZE 4, is gently pre-owned, in near-perf. cond. The fabric/care labels are very faded (pictures #12 & 13), and the label in the jacket is partially cut off (picture #13), but it's otherwise free of defects or damage, with no signs of wear. The jacket is short (waist-length), quilted, with vertical ribbing, and has sleeves that are thickly padded and puffy at the shoulder join, no collar or lapels, black trim around the sleeve ends, neckline, front opening, and hemline, a lining of vertically ribbed white fabric (picture #10), and a 3-button closure in front, with buttons covered in black fabric. The skirt is flaring (A-line), unlined, with a 3" waistband, pleating in the upper part created by ruching under the waistband, and a zipper closure on the left side. It's a little higher than ankle-length on my 5'11" mannequin, Roxy; it will be closer to ankle-length if you're not quite that tall. The fabric is 100% rayon, dry clean only recommended. It was made in the U.S.A. The stated size is 4, but prospective buyers are encouraged to compare the measurements with those of a jacket and skirt that they know fit well prior to purchase. Measurements for the jacket are: chest, pit to pit 16.25"; waist/hemline 14.5”; shoulder 13.25”; sleeve 23.5”; length (in back, neckline to hem) 17”. Measurements for the skirt are: waist 13.75”; hemline 39.5”; length (side seam) 36”. See my comment for more information.

mrhodesbigmike I called this lovely suit "vintage?" because the people running the estate sale where I acquired it told me that it had belonged to their late mother, who had had it "for about 40 years or so." I have only their word for this and no way to verify, but it does have a very 1980's look. Feel free to message me with any questions.
