LILING DINNER SERVICE

The Liling Kiln in Hunan Province is a Qing dynasty that rose to fame through its "underglaze wucai porcelain", created during the first decades of the 20th century in cooperation with Japanese potters. This special ware took three firings to accomplish but was a very modern ware - an underglaze color decoration. Dish washer proof long before the dishwasher was invented. This service for four is the Seranade pattern (1057). Four dinner plates, four soup bowls, four salad plates with a bonus creamer and sugar bowl completes this offer. This pattern was produced from the 1950''s through the 1960's. There are no chips, crazing or cracks in this set.
