A true classic in it's Centennial Edition with dust jacket. NWOT condition. We're incredibly lucky to have TWO of these in the exact same beautiful condition. The books were opened by us only to take these photos, prior to that (aside from a previously, lightly penciled price on the very first page) they appear untouched! Please review the provided photos carefully, as they are the exact item that will be shipped to you and a visual description of color, size, condition, etc. ππππ

While pretty darn close, these are not mint condition, with little or next to nothing indicators on the jacket, that show the book has been picked up and moved or stored at some point in it's previous life over the years!

@aboutfacewest I had this book. I remember reading it to my mother more than 40 years ago. Thank you for such a happy memory today! π

Gawd, I really love this book. If I can swing the purchase before Christmas, what's the absolute lowest you'd go?

@cardattack It makes us really happy seeing comments like this... that's what it's all about! Brings back childhood memories for me, too.

This book is a part of my history. The sambo is an offensive representation of African American people. I donβt think itβs right to sell this, I collect these types of racist paraphernalia to preserve my culture. If youβd like to offer it as a donation to me and my family. please let me know.

@handmeez Ma'am, with all due respect, the book is set in India. I do not see how someone from America would be offended by a tale from another continent that's over 100 years old. Best to leave the protest to the people of India. I do not think you need to be doing that for them, when they themselves are not busy being offended. If you see racism in this storybook, ma'am, perhaps the problem is the perspective that lies within you.
