This exceptional piece of clock making is another stunning example from arguably the world's finest watch and clock maker; Jaeger LeCoultre. This fine desk, or mantle clock, features Jaeger LeCoultre's classic sevenjewel, eight day movement that is mounted to the rear of the clock case. The dial itself is another example of the mastery of LeCoultre's cratspeople's talent. It has an enamel, hand painted deep red finish with a multitude of hand applied specs that give the impression of other materials being present in the 'stone'. This was part of a serious of hand painted finishes that were applied to clocks in various shapes and forms during the 1960/70's by JLC.
