Limited Edition 186/1,868 Not far from Maud Humphrey's home in Rochester, New York, this Country School welcomed children from throughout the area. They gathered at this cobblestone school to learn reading, writing and arithmetics and play games in the school yard. After school, children jumped rope, rolled hoops or pushed wicker doll carriages along the brick and flagstone sidewalks. Maud would have attended one of these nearby schools to receive a proper Victorian education while developing her artistic talent.
