stephiep749 @bstans22 the date code is 892RC. According to everything I’ve read and researched that means it was made in February, 1989, and the RC is Italy. There is a heat stamp on the side leather for LV and a heat stamp on the strap for LV. Hopefully this helps.

stephiep749 @erinscott21 so sorry for the late reply, I was chaperoning my daughter’s choir event today and had little to no reception. I don’t see any cracking but there is a spot on the side that seems a little dry. No smells that I can detect. I’ve had it stored in an airtight plastic bin.
