Hoop earrings designed by Ilias Lalaounis.
A statement pair of hoop-earrings, created in Paris France by the jewelry house of Ilias Lalaounis back in the early 1970. These beautiful pieces are vintage and were part of the collection named, Classical and Hellenistic Greece Carefully crafted in solid rich yellow gold of 18 karats with textured finish and the design include a pair of mythological Chimeras. The earrings are made as reversible, for right and left and fitted with hinged snaps locks for fastening clips.
Weight: Combined of 32.75 Grams, (20.99 Dwt).
Measurements: 38.5 mm by 12 mm (1.52 x 0.47 Inches).
Hallmarks: They are both stamped four times with the French national mark of the eagle's head, for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold, the maker's mark Ste. IL associated to the Parisian workshop of Ilias Lalaounis, the Greek mark A8, the gold assay mark .750 for 18 karats and signed in full "LALAOUNIS A8 .750 GREECE".
