This 60s' dress is a throwback to factory handmade apparel. There are shallow pockets disguised by the decorative embroidery. The fabric appears to be like linen, but it is a rougher texture. If you are going to wear it, you'll want to also wear a slip. My research lends me to believe it is rayon with a bit of linen in the mix. My findings also suggest that this dress is Union Made. It is a fairly straight pencil dress, and is a little rough on the inside, with threads that need to be cut. My imagination has me wondering why. Was it discarded and lost? Not the right size measurements? Something someone "took home" but never dared to wear? I wanted to preserve the timepiece for you as I found it so you could wonder too.
