These have snaps behind the braided panel, where you can snap in optional leather fringe. (included). I did try these on on my back patio, so there are a little bit of marks on the sole from the gravel (see pic). Never worn. Only had them on for about one minute. Gorgeous, tall boot looks great with jeans tucked in or worn with skirts.
