Real Mauldivite & Green Tourmaline Crystals wrapped in copper wire. Moldavite is a forest green, olive green or blue greenish vitreous silica projectile glass formed by a meteorite impact probably in southern Germany that occurred about 15 million years ago. It is a type of tektite. Moldavite is expensive for a handful of reasons. Firstly, the majority of Moldavite exists in sediments from the middle to Upper Miocene age when the craters fell. Much of it remains deeply buried in the Earth and can only be found in a few regions along with the impact of the craters. This is a significant piece of the stone, and will only become more valuable with time. The whole piece weighs 62.38g. and I am not sure how much of that is the Maudivite, however the majority of the weight of the necklace comes from the Maudivite. More than half at least. The pendant itself is 3.5" long and 2" wide. I paid $450 for this from a Shaman that told me this was his rarest stone and that it would heal me. It is in brand new condition and I am ready to pass it on so that another person can benefit from the powerful energy of this stone.
