Both have a much thicker layer of silver or gold than a piece that is simply plated and the quality is fantastic. They can easily be mistaken for solid gold or silver. They’ll also last much longer than a silver or gold plated piece . Each of my silver and gold filled pieces come in a thick PVC anti tarnish jewelry bag accompanied by an anti tarnish strip (it’s a small black square, don’t throw it or the bag away! They’re there to protect your jewelry from oxidation) When stored properly these pieces will last you years upon years. 😊
