Late 19th Century Ridgways 12 1/2” Chop Plate Blue And White Rhine Transferware

* English Chop Plate by Ridgways (Ridgway) in the “Rhine” pattern of blue on white Transferware. The Maker’s Mark is on the bottom of the plate. * The Ridgway family was one of the important dynasties manufacturing Staffordshire potteries, with a large number of family members and business names, over a period from the 1790’s to the late 20th century. * The Chop Plate is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The are a few scratches and marks which are normal due to its age and use. It dates between 1837-1897. * The Chop Plate measures 12.5” Wide x 1.125” Tall. It weighs 38.80 ounces or 1100 grams.
