Vintage Velvet 1980's Sexy Elizabethan Gothic Glamour Gown fit for royalty! 3/4 Length sleeves. Deep V-neckline in front. Deep U-Neckline in back. V-shaped Waistline echos the V-shaped Neckline as it is shaped to a deep V in the center front of waist. Waistline seam is expertly piped in heavy narrow satin where bodice is joined to skirt. The same narrow piping finishes the neckline edges and the sleeve cuffs. Dress is very well made. Bodice is princess seamed thus fitted and sculpted to the torso. Fastens with covered velvet buttons up the back. Sleeves are puffed. The fabric is a high quality weighty velvet. Made in Great Britain in the early 1980’s. This reminds me of the gowns worn by royalty such as Queen Elizabeth I And Mary Queen of Scotts in portrait paintings. The very full skirt is gathered evenly all around.
