I love it. I'm moving, so I am slowly letting go of things. It's in great condition—see pics.
Unique style. You can't find this coat anywhere.
Lavuk RTW Fall 2011
Natasha Gindin worked sustainable materials such as organic cotton, hemp, and dead stock silks into boldly colored coats and tunics with a futuristic bent.
Lavuk, an eco-friendly clothing line launched in 2008 by Natasha Gindin, displayed a graceful and wearable Spring/Summer 2011 collection at the Metropolitan Pavilion during New York Fashion Week.
Ernst Haeckel's novel Art Forms in Nature-inspired Lavuk's Spring/Summer 2011 collection. Gindin extracted the shapes, textures, and colors featured in this collection from the underwater sea creatures in the book.
"I like to combine science, nature, and art [in my designs] because it's all connected," Gindin told Seventeen
The designs of Lavuk also reflect the worldly culture Gindin has experienced in her lifetime. Having traveled to numerous countries, Gindin tries to achieve a universal look in her designs that allows the garments to be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion.
