@erindoobs hey, thanks for reaching out. so like a lot of natural leather products the color is a bit varied, some spots are a bit darker, others a bit lighter. overall I would not call it "very dark", probably more like a rich milk chocolate.
the leather is definitely softer/smoother in some areas particularly on the strap where it typically sits on your shoulder, but I wouldn't say any of it is worn. it's definitely in great condition and has years or wear ahead of it.
