This beautiful hand blown bottle/vase was made from recycled glass collected from the largest non nuclear explosion occurring in Beirut, Lebanon on August 4, 2020. The Aug. 4, 2020 disaster happened when tons of highly explosive ammonium nitrate, a material used in fertilizers, detonated at Beirut's port killing more than 200, injuring over 6,000 and damaging large parts of Beirut. The explosion is considered one of the largest non-nuclear explosions in history. There was an estimated 5000 tons of glass blown out from every door, window, building, etc., within the blast zone. Nearly 58 tons of glass, so far has been collected and sent to be made into new glass. This bottle is one of the new vessels made from this collected glass. This item is from my Grandmother's Estate. She collected china and glassware for many, many years. I will list more items as we go through all of it. Your purchase will be packaged carefully to insure a safe journey. I Promise Great Items, Great Service and Fast Shipping!
