bearfoxwolfdeer @elizabethefdrde the item has wear that you would expect out of an approximately 50 year old denim jacket. Predominately around the right arm cuff! But that adds to the character of the jacket :)

moonthreads this is a modern reproduction. vtg big E trucker jackets don't have 3 #s on the back of buttons. heddels is a website that goes into detail on how to date levis trucker jackets, but if its a big E red tab with 3 digits on button its a fake

bearfoxwolfdeer @moonthreads thanks for your input. I’ve used the Heddel’s post and other resources pretty extensively to try to accurately date this jacket. I think it is unfair to say the word fake when talking about this jacket. The 3 on the buttons definitely indicate that this is a newer Big E jacket but I believe it is a true production Big E and has not been faked or manipulated at all! It’s been hard to peg down when this made but it’s definitely the later end of the Big E jacket production.

bearfoxwolfdeer @moonthreads the button stamp part of the Heddel’s post is ambiguous/not explained well. If you read the comments there are many who have Levi’s w/ 3-digits that owned them before LVC started repros. The post even says that the 555 indicates it was made at the SF factory which was in operation as far back as 1906. It is misleading for you to be commenting that jackets are repros when you don’t actually know! I still am in firm belief that this jacket is a “real” vintage Big E and not a repro.
