The three chains included with the necklace are separate and can be taken off the necklace to be worn individually or together in any combination. When the shortest part of the necklace is attached (the chain with the crystals and navy crystals alternating), the necklace can measure up to 23.5 inches. If only the longest chain is attached (the chain with the alternating navy and silver links), the necklace can be up to 28 inches. The necklace has a 3 inch extender included.
