For the Eastern Voyage collection, Liberty’s Design Studio worked closely with four talented Chinese artists to bring their stories to life. The narratives they express in their work are often inspired by their country, whether through the use of centuries-old techniques or the depiction of elements that are uniquely Chinese and culturally inseparable from life in China. Joanne Jo often focuses her artwork on cats both wild and domestic. The loveable felines in our Catnap print are full of charisma as they cavort, stretch, and sleep in this conversational design that will bring a smile to your face. A hand drawn geometric pattern has been added into the background which also celebrates the imperfect nature of original artwork.
