southernsisters @mrsberia thanks for your interest! I believe it is a true size 8. It doesn't fit me anymore but when it did I wore it with skirts, dresses or pants to business meetings. I just measured it; it is 25 1/2 inches from top to bottom in the back. I don't know your body shape but it wouldn't have completely covered my butt (so I wouldn't have worn it with leggings) but it isn't short either. I believe that it came down to my hip bones.

southernsisters @mrsberia I would say a medium. I just looked online at the Limited's size guide; they consider an 8 a medium as well.
