bagsandbaubles2 @lindsaykayx0 Hi Lindsay! I just went to the Apple site and compared the dimensions of an Air and an iPad 2: the Air is 9.4"H x 6.6"W x .29"D and the iPad2 is 9.5"H x 7.31"W x .34" D. It looks the Air would certainly fit, as it is .1" smaller in height, .71" smaller in width and .05" smaller in depth. The difference is almost negligible except for the width, you'd have an extra 7/10 of an inch there.

bagsandbaubles2 @msagnew31 Hi Ericka! Sorry I wasn't able to get back to you sooner. The color is purple, not a bright color, but very pretty. It is still available. As far as the size is concerned, it was made to accommodate the bigger iPads, and if you look further up in the comments here, I've got the measurements of the iPad 2 and mini compared. Please let me know if you have any other questions. : )
