I’m supposed to get married on 11/7 2021 but live in Houma, La. right where Hurricane Ida made landfall. Thankfully we’re safe but my wedding dress got soaked. We’re scaling back now and I want to know, do you have pictures of the dress when it’s buttoned up the back for a more casual look? I love your dress but need to make it less full since it’s a smaller gathering. Is the petticoat removable? Maybe that, with it bustled would make that work?

@nancyhregan oh dear! I hope you and your family are safe! I will see what other photos I can find of the back. The petticoat could be removed or reduced, I’m sure. I considered restyling the dress to tea length after my wedding but never got around to it. I will get back to you after I look for other photos

@nancyhregan the buttons in back are not functional- there is a hidden zipper that is the actual closure for the back.

@debradg thank you for getting back so quickly. Did this dress fit like a true 10 or smaller? Also, does it have bra cup inserts sewn in?
I’m only 5”1 and trying to figure out how much alterations it will require for my seamstress if I can find her. I love how the neckline falls like a true halter.

@nancyhregan I would say it fit me like a true 10 in well made brands- not a 10 in less expensive brand clothing where things are smaller. I am 5’7” and wore 2.5” heels with this dress, so depending on your shoe heel height, you may need it shortened a few inches. My bust size was 34c and I wore a halter style bra (which I used many times after that day).

@debradg I’m sorry for my delay. We’re still trying to think this through and if we keep the 11/7 date?, all in between this never ending storm cleanup. Bryan told me to get it since I love it but I’m feeling so guilty about spending $ right now. 🤦♀️
