@meboutique ok thanks for getting back to me. Usually a 6 = 28 inches, an 8 is 29, and a 10 is 30… at least in jeans anyway :)

@tiffchantel it depends on the designer. I have been in the fashion industry for over 30 years and it would be amazing if all designers could get together and have a uniform size chart. However, they do not, and it varies all over the place.
