From the waist (it hits true to your own waist, because the top part is loose, it can go higher or lower) it is about 20" long. I would say it can fit anywhere from a 4 (current size) to an 8 comfortably. I bought it when I was a 10, and it was a tad snug in the waist, but the rest was still very flowy. It's a very forgiving dress when it comes to size. :)
