This post is to shed some light on LC authenticity. I absolutely believe you should be careful when buying lipsticks anywhere but the retailer. It's a risk financially and for your safety. That being said, LC is notorious about packaging disparities. All of the above lipsticks (except Pumpkin - far right first photo) were purchased directly from LC. I wanted to point out the differences and how they are relevant to searching for fakes: (See comments for continuing rant)...

marinarb Boxes should have a batch # but location of that # varies. On Riot, Trouble, Squash, Wicked, & Pumpkin - bottom below barcode. On Salem & Rustic - top by unicorns. None on Rave.

marinarb Batch numbers should also be on the tubes. On Salem & Rustic the number is printed on the bottom of the tube. All others it's printed near the bottom of the tubes long side. The tube # should match the box #. They all do (except for Rave which doesn't have a number on the box).

marinarb People say to also look for Roses on the top of the tubes. My Rave doesn't have a rose on the top of the tube. I've also heard that some other colors are like this, like cement (though I can't speak from experience about any ones other than these).

marinarb Oh and it's worth noting that Salem, Riot, and Trouble were purchased together from LC a few monthss ago. And Rave, Wicked, Squash, & Rustic were purchased together last week. Pumpkin was purchased elsewhere.
