Little Black Dress Large Size, Shortened 30s Vintage LBD Early 1930s

Add whatever you want to this early 30s vintage little black minimalist dress or add nothing at all. IT'S A LARGER SIZE! Originally much longer, maybe even full length. Shortened back in the day because hemlines went high in 40s and women altered their dresses during the war instead of buying new. Semi-sheer (look closely at photos--in photo 4, there is no smudge in the back. It's the mannequin's lovely plastic skin showing through!) rayon crepe, very lightweight, moves nicely. Hem very small, no room to make longer, unless you add braid or lace. Short puffy sleeves with reinforcements at shoulders. This was BEFORE zippers were in dresses, so buttons at side, under hidden button placket! No labels, probably homemade. ''Surplice'' style bodice fabric crosses over into a low V neck. Skirt seaming from waist to hips and then pleats. So cute. So 30s not wanting to let go of 20s styles! Back of bodice is yoked with gathering to waist. Belt loops, no belt. Clean!
