The Japan Dry Selvage. Made from a mid- to -heavy weight denim fabric developed exclusively for Livid by the renowned Japanese fabric mill, Kurabo. This top of the line denim is made out of 100% sanforized cotton and is unwashed and completely untreated. Perfect start for your brand new dry denim project and great for the environment! The Japan Dry Selvage is made – as all our denim fabrics - with a dyeing technique called rope dye. A great attribute if you want the jeans of your choice to fade and become more and more unique with wear. When rope dyeing denim yarns the white core of the cotton yarn remains untouched during the dyeing process. With friction and wear as the layers and layers of indigo are worn off the surface of the fabric, the un-dyed core of the cotton yarn will appear, slowly leaving beautiful contrast fading to the surface.
