Liz Claiborne skirt, black medium

Bear with me, I don't know as much about women's clothes as I do about men's clothes, but I am learning. This is a Liz Claiborne skirt. The label says Claiborne Collection. From the top of the the length of the seam from the top of the waistband to the bottom of the hem is just shy of 34 inches. There's far too much fabric for it to be spread tight. It's going to hang with folds and gathers. I think this is what they're calling one of Liz Claiborne's maxi-skirts. If I'm completely botching this, please let me know. This is the hardest post I've done so far. Most any piece of clothing is going to look better modelled than on a hanger or laying on a set. But, I think that's especially true of a skirt like this that is meant to flow and move with a person. Fortunately, I'm sure all the women out there know what these skirts are supposed to look like.
