Egyptian Pharaoh's Tomb Pyramid Trinket Locket Poison Ring is inspired by the work of the great Theo Fennell and the 1920's love for everything Egyptian. 925 Silver and Brass. Size 6.5
On November 4th, 1922, in the Valley of Kings in Egypt, British archeologist Howard Carter & his workmen discover the perfectly preserved mummy of King Tutankhamen. Yes, the great "King Tut" sang by the great Steve Martin. Many treasures were found. Esquisite golden statues and jewelry, boats, linen shirts, shawls, baskets of chickpeas, lentils, dates and garlands of flowers were among some of the pieces found.
This discovery had a profound impact on the world inspiring art, fashion, film, jazz and the concept of the "modern girl" with her bobbed hair, corsetless shift dress, sultry dark eyes, red lips, jewelry and a newfound independence- signaling defiance, a new generation and a fresh, carefree love of life that still resonates with women today.
People all over the world are still fascinated by and love ancient Egyptian culture and fashion.
