@cookiemonsterki you’re fine, I know how it can be. Yes it is the same ribbon. It’s a satin material. You can tie it in the front, back, etc. or it is removeable. And it isn’t see through at all. The top part is on the shoulders but I will add another pic for you to see. And if you need the dress to be longer, it was taken in on my shoulders but I asked that it could also be taken out. (It is a simple stitch and anyone could really take it out)
