@dlynch33 hi there, thanks so much for you inquiry. The metal wire mesh is silver-tone but not actual silver, probably stainless steel. The luster of stainless steel tends to be more grayish than silver. So the front of the mesh is a shiny grayish steel and the interior part of the mesh is darker. I've upload a closeup photo of the mesh part, hoping that helps. Thanks for looking!
