Vintage Lot of 5 Pieces OES The Order Of The Eastern Star Trinket Dish Saucer Tea Cup Ashtray & Lapel Pin Collectibles
This is our complete collection of these unique pieces of The Order Of The Eastern Star.
The ashtray holds six cigarettes and or can be used as a trinket dish. On the base is red color is "Lefton China Hand Painted Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." In between is a beautiful, colorful Lefton Crown. 4340
It is in the shape of a triangle approx. 4 1/2" x 4".
The mini trinket dish is in gold "Royal Stafford Bone China Made in England". 2 1/4" x 2".
The sauce is hand glazed in gold script writing: Florence Chapter No. 496

The star is also hand glazed with no markings on the base.
Gold trim around the scalloped edge. 4 1/2" x 4 1/2".
The ornate tea cup is also written in gold script. The handles is very danity. "Purity Chapter No. 359". On the verse side is written " My friend, Irene Hershey, Warder. Gold trim as well as no markings on the base.
2 1/2" x 3".
The lapel pin is very small in the original box. Approx. 1/2". The box is 1 1/4" x 1 1/4". It is 10 K gold. It has not been cleaned.
History:
The Order was created by Rob Morris in 1850 when he was teaching at the Eureka Masonic College in Richland, Mississippi. While confined by illness, he set down the principles of the order in his Rosary of the Eastern Star.
