Height from base to zipper: 9 3/4”.
Height from base to top of handles: 14 1/2”
Base depth: 6 1/4”.
Removable cordovan braid.
Removable cordovan shoulder strap that adjusts from approximately 40 1/2” to 45 1/2”.
Sturdy YKK zippers.
Number is imprinted inside bottom of bag and written on identification card.
The bag, strap, braid, and zipper pouch were restored at Rhode Island Lotuff factory a few years ago to its best condition as a used bag.
Top zipper slightly wavy from use..
The leather has a pebbled texture. The pebbled texture is more prominent on the zippered pouch.

Thank you for asking! There are no foul odors like the musty ones that sometimes develop in antique bags. If you place the bag right under your nose and inhale, you might discern a slight leathery smell if you take a very deep breath. The bag has lived its life so far in a non-smoking and non-pet environment.

@shellygale Hello, In the 14th photo, patina on one side of piping from top to base is visible. Due to the way my windows face, today was too dark and rainy for me to take effective additional photos. I will add 4 side/bottom photos as soon as there is a bright, sunny day. Hopefully, tomorrow.

@california_khkr Hello, if the laptop is less than 10" x 8 1/2", it should fit inside. However, due to the thickness of a laptop, the laptop might become scratched by the zipper teeth when it is moved in and out of the bag. The zipper is very sturdy and heavy, but somewhat rigid. Unless you are extremely careful, this bag is probably better for an ipad or small tablet, both of which are smaller and thinner than a laptop.
