This Divine Vintage (60’s?) Golden Cocktail Dress by Louis Feraud truly The elegance of the cocktail and formal wear of that time. This is a golden weave brocade in an emblematic floral design in two shades of gold. There is boning for holding shape (and not slipping down!) on both of the bodices sides. Beautifully finished with a gold satin piping. Exceptional pleating on the skirt. Hidden zipper and top clasp. Hanging ribbons, as well as loops for attaching a strapless bra. There is a 4” interior hem. So useful if there’s a need for a longer length. Lined in Ivory. Measurements: Top of Bodice: 15” Waist: 14.5 Length from Bodice: 22” The tag is FR 38 which would currently translate to a M, but given the time period, the measurements are more a current size S. Fabric: 80% Cotton 12% Polyester 8% Nylon Lining: 100% Viscose My comparison dresses on 1st Dibs were in the thousands, but I couldn’t find this exact dress. Brocade is a class of richly decorative shuttle-woven fabrics, often made in coloured silks and sometimes with gold and silver threads.
