Louis Vuitton LV Shoulder Bag Brown Monogram

A friend has asked me to help her sell a bunch of her LV bags. She has superb taste, think LV bags, Carter watches, mid-century modern furniture - all authentic! I am not sure what the style name of this shoulder bag is. It is of the waxed monogram brown canvas with leather trim. The bag is used with slight cracks and wear to the leather. The brown canvas has really small white flecks; I used a damp cloth to lightly clean the canvas but due to its texture the flecks remain in the crevices. I decided to leave a more intensive cleaning to it’s new owner. I carefully polished up the brass hardware to give it a bit of shine, wiped out the interior, and applied Cadillac condition to all of the exterior and the interior leather lining. The one issue is the broken square ring connecting one shoulder strap to the side of the bag. I am sure you could get this repaired easily. I imagine The Cobblers on Instagram could do this - they do amazing work. Much cheaper to revamp a vintage bag, plus the character, than buy one new. The bag measures about 13” wide and about 8.5” tall. The base is about 3.25” wide. The sides are trapezoidal about 3” at the base to about 1 3/4” at the top. The shoulder straps are fixed and measure about 20” in length, another inch for the brass headwear, and attach to the exterior side pockets. There is a grosgrain lined, zipped interior placket as well. The lining does have a pencil erasure-sized spot at the top edge. Questions? Leave a comment below!
