This is my personal bag. I don’t have the heart to paint them so I purchased this one from someone who does. I wanted to use as a make up bag. I use it for everything but. Carry candy in her to church even. She came with Vintage LV pockets under the zippers. Sticky , peeling etc. the body and the back pocket, clean and in great condition. I have had her so long, used an unbranded strap. I have a LV cross body strap but it seems to thick to go through the leather loops. I would like to see a picture of the original strap to compare. Thanks in advance

misskay235 @gr8gurl12. I am coming to you as a friend would for advice. 💜. Please read the body of this listing. Kinda explains my history with this girl. I am ready to try out that goo gone and white vinegar !? On the pockets. And I need the right strap or encouragement on getting this one to go through. I don’t think this is the correct strap. !? Take your time responding. And thanks in advance. I didn’t know her name til you told me during BA show ♥️

gr8gurl12 @misskay235 if you look up online the images for the Louis Vuitton St. Germain you will see how that strap does go on that looks like the original strap but because it’s coiled I can’t say 100% certain but that’s my opinion now with regard to the stickiness on the inside of the interior pockets what I would do first would be to get some acetone put it on a microfiber cloth and lightly rub in there to try and lift out the stickiness

gr8gurl12 @misskay235 , but definitely do it with gloves on because that leaves a hot mass express all over your hands. Once you’ve done it with the acetone and kind of gone through it let it dry out for roughly 4 to 5 hours so that it’s dry and then you can take a little bit of orange oil goo gone on a cotton cloth that’s lint free and then rub it down on the inside then let that dry out.

gr8gurl12 @misskay235 Generally I tend to overshoot for about 24 hours for a full dry out and I kind of prop it open so that it can get air and I sometimes put it in front of a fan as well so that could be an option that you could work on let me know how that goes for you. I’ve heard about the vinegar process and some people do that but I’m not a big fan of the smell that it leaves behind. That’s why I prefer the orange oil. It actually leaves a nice fragrance, but also breaks down the sticky.

gr8gurl12 @misskay235 the strap should feed all the way around the bag, and then the buckle should be upwards towards the top with the shoulder support

gr8gurl12 @misskay235 I also missed the fact that you were trying to fit a different strap. I didn’t read the actual listing because I was looking at the images that’s my bad and I apologize I did go back and reread the body of the message and what you could do is actually look up online for a replacement strap for the Louis Vuitton Saint Germain, and that might be your best bet

misskay235 @gr8gurl12 I just read all your notes. What kind of acetone do you use? Nail polish remover ? I don’t care for the smell of white vinegar either. I have an Alma that stinks to high Heaven. This one doesn’t smell bad. Orange oil is the name of the goo gone mix you buy? I trust you. I will wear gloves too. Thanks for the reminder. I have googled that strap. No luck so far.

misskay235 @littlekitty1981 this is the bag. I have an original LV strap from another bag but it is too thick and doesn’t work with it. But this is what it’s for.
