Poshmark does free authentication for items over $500, if it is a very expensive bag and it is listed at around $500 they are probably waiting for you to make an offer on it that is under $500 so that it will bypass authentication. Some of the newer bags do not have date codes visibly stamped but the date code will be listed on the original paperwork.
